Lifetime financial
planning
Walter & Partners is an Independent Financial Planning practice for private individuals and their families.
Financial planning is about taking control of your finances to build the future you want. With every new client we take on, we seek to significantly improve their financial future and how they feel about it.
We provide clear and honest advice. We aim to make complex matters simple. We are transparent about our fees, keep costs to a minimum, and always act in our client’s best interests.
Our clients have told us that our planning and advice has made a positive impact on their lives. We wouldn’t be doing it if we didn’t believe the same.
The financial planning process
Our relationship begins with your personal aims and aspirations. We need to know what’s important to you before we talk about money. We fundamentally believe that your money should fit around what you want to achieve, rather than the other way around.
After assessing your existing resources and evaluating how far they will go towards your plans, we will consider ways in which we can improve your position. We will look at budget and contingency planning and will identify appropriate investment and tax optimisation strategies tailored to your requirements. We will then show you the difference our planning could make.
We will implement the various components of your plan, and will meet at least annually to review and adapt, as necessary.
Becoming a client
We typically take on clients with upwards of £500,000 of investable assets, but we are always happy to have an initial consultation without charge to see if we are right for each other. You can get in touch by phone or by using the form below.

We offer a robust and evidence-based investment service which focuses on long-term and highly cost-effective investment strategies.
Unlike many firms, we don’t believe in the value of market timing or stock picking, because there is no evidence these more costly strategies yield better results over the long-term.
We believe that asset allocation is the key driver of investment returns. We focus on getting this right by designing portfolios that capture capital market returns based on decades of empirical data and
research by Nobel-Prize economists. This approach keeps the portfolio running costs down without compromising on long-term returns.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations
Our ESG portfolios invest in several funds which direct more capital to companies that meet certain ESG standards. These include Environmental factors such as carbon emissions, air, and water pollution, use of natural resources and land; Social factors such as labour standards, equality, production quality and safety, and local community impact; and finally, Governance factors such as ethical business practices, board independence and diversity, and managerial compensation.
This screening process looks to reduce the risks of unsustainable business practices and embed ethical principles in the pursuit of long-term investment returns.
